Akú silnú štvorkolku kúpiť?
Čím vyšší zdvihový objem valcom, tým vyšší výkon. Na trhu sú štvorkolky s kubatúrou od 50 až po zhruba 800ccm. Treba povedať, že interval do 200ccm je asi ani nie do terénu. Modely s takouto kubatúrou sú určené skôr pre teenagerov. Nevýhodou môže byť aj to, že takéto malé motory boli vyvinuté pre hlavne pre cestné skútre a do štvorkoliek sa veľmi nehodia. Pre priemerného človeka sa odporúča minimálne „250-ka“ ale lepšie ostať medzi 300 a 500ccm. Štvorkolky s objemom nad 500ccm už vyžadujú ruku ozaj skúseného jazdca.
Je lepšia štvorkolka s reťazou alebo kardanom?
Majiteľ štvorkolky používajúcej na prenos hnacej sily reťaz, musí počítať s nutnosťou neustáleho mazania reťaze. Toto spôsobuje problém najmä v prašnom či blatistom teréne, kedy sa mazivo zmiešané s nečistotami stáva brúsnou pastou, ktorá extrémne opotrebúva reťaz i ozubené kolesá. Taktiež hrozí pretrhnutie a po určitom čase vyťahanie reťaze vyžadujúce si aj nie práve najlacnejšiu výmenu oboch roziet (ozubených kolies). Vďaka kardanu všetky tieto problémy odpadajú.
Mám kúpiť novú alebo jazdenú?
Nevýhodou jazdených štvorkoliek je, že neviete kto ju mal pred vami a ako s ňou zaobchádzal. Môžete kúpiť stroj ktorý vyzerá zachovalo no po pár hodinách sa prejaví dobre zamaskovaná porucha a jej oprava môže byť nákladná. Nové štvorkolky sú vždy s 2 ročnou zárukou. V tomto prípade je treba zvážiť či uprednostníte nižšiu cenu alebo záruku.
Oplatí sa viac značková alebo neznačková?
Bolo by hlúpe sa domnievať, že dôvodom výrazných cenových rozdielov je iba značka. Je to samozrejme aj o kvalite. Za posledné roky sa aj technológia výroby štvorkoliek v JV Ázii pohla výrazne dopredu a niektoré stroje sa už ani v konkurencii značkových ATV nedajú zahanbiť. Schopnosť rozlíšiť ich však od ostatných starých „šmejdov“ je pre laika dosť obtiažna.
Koľko stojí dobrá štvorkolka?
Do 120.000,-Sk. Dnes je na trhu veľké množstvo nových štvorkoliek, ktoré kúpite aj za pár desiatok tisíc korún. Sú to poväčšinou technologicky zastaralé štvorkolky z JV Ázie. Ak nie ste náhodou automechanik a nemáte zároveň záľubu v zaolejovaných rukách kúpu takejto štvorkolky si radšej dobre rozmyslite.
Od 120.000 do 250.000,-Sk. V tomto intervale je možné kúpiť či už kvalitnú neznačkovú novú alebo značkovú jazdenú štvorkolku.
nad 250.000,-Sk tu niekde sa začínajú ceny za značkové štvorkolky s kubatúrou 250ccm. Pokračujú až do viac než pol milióna.
